“Dr. Eve is the BEST! She has been treating our nearly 12-year-old Great Dane for her arthritis. We were feeling pretty down and helpless about her aging hips and her obvious pain; it was getting nearly impossible to take her to the vet, as getting in and out of the car was so hard for her. Dr. Eve came over and spent a couple hours getting to know Sadie and gave us some great recommendations for supplements and other interventions to prevent falls and assist her on walks. She even came afterward to remove the 30 staples in her belly so she didn’t need to go back to the hospital. “ We have a 55lb young Boxer mix female who, back in March of 2018, began to limp and eventually went lame in her right rear leg. We took her to a surgeon we knew, and it was diagnosed that she had an extra vertebrae which could be pinching the nerve, causing this issue (similar to sciatica in humans). We tried two rounds of shockwave therapy (non surgical) which, combined with restraint on exercise and some meds, did not work. After round 2, he recommended we contact Dr Eve and try Acupuncture.
We have never experienced Acupuncture on either ourselves or our pets, but we wanted to give it a try. First session, Tiva took the acupuncture well, and immediately the limping was almost gone. I was shocked, could not believe it! Although this was just a start, the combination of acupuncture, some anti inflammatory meds, and restricted activity worked. She is now 100%, can play like a crazy dog just like before, with no issues. Dr Eve is fantastic with animals. They know she’s there to love and care for them. We did learn through the acupuncture that my girl was happier if my wife was there for the treatment rather than me. You never know with dogs, but reading that, we stuck to my wife being there and I left the room and things went very well.
