Tui-na massage:

Dr. Harrison may use Tui-na, a form of massage in Chinese Medicine, often used in conjunction with acupuncture and herbal medication. Tui-na can be thought of as corresponding to a combination of acupressure, conventional massage, and chiropractic techniques. It can be used to treat both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, as well as many non-musculoskeletal conditions.

Dr. Harrison can additionally teach caregivers Tui-na massage techniques to do at home with their pets.

Therapeutic exercise & movement to increase strength, flexibility, and balance:

Dr. Harrison can customize exercises and therapeutic modalities for your pet, sometimes using rehabilitation equipment, as well as teaching you exercises to do with your companion at home. This is excellent for pets with arthritis, difficulty walking, or who are overweight. Benefits include reduced pain, increased muscle mass, improved strength, range of motion, balance, and coordination. In combination with other therapeutic modalities, physical therapy exercises will also help your pet with weight loss, mental stimulation, and to restore function and comfort.

“He could tell by the way animals walked that they were keeping time to some kind of music. Maybe it was the song in their own hearts that they walked to.” ― Laura Adams Armer
